Gavin Henshaw Technical & Project Manager, Acanthus Cast Stone Gavin has worked in cast stone and structural drawing for 28 years. He holds an HNC in Building Studies and a certification in 2D CAD Drawing, and began his career as a draughtsman with structural and civil engineers Rogers Leask, producing steelwork, concrete foundation and pre-cast concrete drawings before moving into cast stone in 2001. He has been Technical & Project Manager at Acanthus Cast Stone since 2015. Gavin specialises in bespoke cast stone for multi-million-pound luxury new-build homes, translating architects' concept drawings into fully detailed, buildable specifications for porticos, cornices, parapet copings, colonnades and more. His structural engineering background means he's often the first to spot where a detail needs a fixing, a slip plane or a design change, before it becomes a problem on site. He works to BS1217 and UKCSA specifications on every project.
